From the very first day, it was clear: he was a horse like no other. Wise beyond his years, gentle yet powerful, Zavu grew into a stallion whose presence could both command attention and calm the soul. Together, we’ve walked an incredible journey—one that has shaped not just our lives, but the lives of everyone who steps into his world.
Zavu has earned blue ribbons in the show ring, climbed the rugged trails of Colorado, and sired beautiful, kind-hearted foals. But his greatest gift has always been his ability to heal. His calm, intuitive nature has helped countless people release pain, rediscover confidence, lead, and find peace.
He is our rock, our best teacher, and the soul of our Equine Empowerment program.

Christine is the founder of Zavu’s Place and a passionate voice for empowerment and emotional healing. With over 20 years raising horses and a family, non profit and corporate leadership, and a lifetime of navigating life’s challenges, she brings a deep, grounded perspective to her work.
Horses have been Christine’s source of strength, clarity, and calm—especially Zavu, who continues to inspire her work every day. Through her unique approach to Equine Empowerment, Christine coaches individuals through confidence building, life transitions, leadership development, and trauma recovery, stress/anxiety and PTSD.
Her sessions are proven, safe and engaging—Using methods she developed and practices, Christine offers a safe, judgment-free space for clients to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves.
